This is my patented trying-to-look-natural pose.

Myself in front of Adult Swim's mural wall. I promise it looked that torn up before I touched it.

ABOUT ME

Hey there! My name's Ryan, I’m a games producer. I currently work as a Producer at Demiurge Studios in Boston, but over the past several years I’ve also been able to work with great teams at Proletariat Inc, Blizzard Entertainment, Epic Games, Adult Swim Games, and various independent teams. In all my production work, I focus on helping my teams do their best work as efficiently as possible to hit milestones on time.

Prior to January 2023 I was working as a Game Producer at Proletariat Inc / Blizzard Boston on World of Warcraft (WoW), and before that was working on Spellbreak. My role on Spellbreak mainly focused on leading production on various features like several major map updates, quest content across multiple seasons / chapters, and general gameplay updates. I’ve gotten to work on a wide variety of teams and content while at Proletariat and it has all made me a much more effective producer when working with all game development disciplines.

Before Proletariat I worked as a Production Assistant with Epic Games on the Fortnite team. While working with Epic I lead daily stand ups, implemented new production practices and tools within the competitive team, and coordinated between internal teams and external partners for upcoming events and initiatives. Epic Games is one of the most well-established studios in the world, and the experiences I had there helped me grow as a producer at an exponential rate.

In the Summer of 2018 I wrapped up an internship at Adult Swim Games at their studio in Atlanta working as their Production Intern. While there I worked closely with the production team to assist with meeting coordination and task tracking for our work with external developers. I also QA tested several games, assisted with marketing tasks, and coordinated meetings with interns across other Turner companies to improve the intern experience through the Turner Intern Leadership Council! Before that I was also hired for an internship with MassDiGI in Worcester, MA through their Summer Innovation Program in 2017. While there I was the designer on a team of six other talented developers to make a tablet game called Leap A Head (which you can learn more about on my work page).

In 2018 and 2019 I had the unique pleasure of working at GDC as a Conference Associate. These experiences have been an amazing opportunity to learn from some amazing peers and mentors in the industry, as well as getting the chance to help GDC run as well as possible for the attendees and speakers alike.

Leading up to 2019, before moving for my position with Epic, I was heavily involved with the Boston game development scene. I organized the 2018 Global Game Jam site for Northeastern University and consulted on their 2019 site, ran a site for Global Game Jam’s Anti-Defamation League jam, and helped lead and organize the first ever BostonFIG Learns conference in February 2019! This event brought in experienced and respected speakers from the industry to discuss game development education and how games are being used in education, serving student developers, game academics, and developers of educational games.

Overall, I have a real passion for making and playing games. I always do my best to communicate openly and respectfully with my teams. I’m constantly working to learn and improve so the projects on which I work can progress further and faster without putting additional strain on my teams. If you'd like to know more, you can view my resumé and shoot me a message through my contact page! Thank you so much for taking an interest in my work!
